classifieds cost Money?

Postby MTrotter on Tue Aug 26, 2008 7:22 pm

so we cant sell stuff here on the forum... and i just typed up a nice write up to sell my very clean 924S for $3300 and the classified section of this page was going to charge me $27 dollars for it. Seriously? Like i havent spent enough money putting bilstein shocks and struts on the car... or a new timing belt and water pump, re-sealing the engine and installing a new O2 sensor and speed reference sensor or cleaning the very nice interior and paint (black). Or filling the falken azenis tires with air.
So, i guess ill have to pass the increased cost onto the buyer. Ill just list my car for $3327. i have to go now to post my clasified and pony up $27.

I have posted many ads recently for free. There is a word count limit and no pics allowed; else you have to pay.

didn't your mother teach you that nothing is free? and if it is free, it's probably broken...in which case, you should drop it from the roof of a very tall building.

by the way, i have a set of nice couches free to a good home.

i'm sorry. i want to retract what i posted earlier. it was completely inappropriate. i would never want to throw a couple of couches off the roof of a building.

what i meant to say was...i have one nice cat free to a good home.

Thanks for making the forum entertaining :D

I just recently learned about the classifieds too. It is not under the forum part, which I expected, but under quick links.

The text reads...
Classified Ad Policies
No charge to PCA San Diego Region members for up to 25 words of text to advertise to buy, sell or trade specific items. Ads will run for three months. Member ads over 25 words $.20 per each additional word.
Non- member, business, or commercial ads $.40 per word.

So gotta make the car sell in 25 words or less. But, I see you are a 'creative' advertiser Morgan. :P

Morgan:

Pull the back glass-hatch from the 924S, install one of the couches longitudinally, and donate the rig to the club as the official Corner Worker's Transport Vehicle.   Mark R. could practice his laps and deliver Corner Workers simultaneously (Don't Lift!!!).

Priceless (and who knows, maybe a tax deduction as a donated vehicle). 8)

perhaps, but i think the car would be much better off in someones garage. I wont be around, but i might send it to the next auto-x on the 13th with a for sale sign on it. Im really motivated to open up some garage space.
