What does an Enzo owner's boat look like?

Postby Kim Crosser on Fri Sep 19, 2008 3:38 pm

This little toy was parked a little north of the Star of India last night. http://www.yacht-sea.net/mega-yacht-profiles/ice.html
The owner had a Ferrari Enzo - at least until he crashed it. http://www.ferrariblog.net/ferrari-news/another-ferrari-enzo-crash
Is it possible to have too much money? :?

Monica and I took a tour of the bay with a co-worker (ex-coworker) of hers from HP last weekend. He said this vessel (and other toys) is owned by a "Russian Billionaire." It seems it is rumored San Diego Port Authority is leasing out the areas near the "Star" to high-end boat owners who can't find a suitable "slip" for their "toys." 8)

Indeed, the port authority is going to great lengths to attract megayachts to our town.
As San Diego is the logical "last chance" stopping point for boats going south, it makes sense.
Megayachts infuse many millions into our local economy by using our "big boat" capable boatyards and other facilities, and all the taxes generated go into the Port Authority's coffers. As you might guess, ports around the world advertise for their buisness.
The marina I'm in has slips for boats up to 250 feet, and they bend over backwards to coddle the owners with a full time concierge just for them.

"You want grass to walk your dog...right on the dock? No problem Sir, it'll be there by tomorrow morning, my pleasure Sir."

No, I'm not making this up, it's already happened.
