Several of us from SDR have attended recent DE/TT put on by GGR at Buttonwillow over Memorial Day weekend. In 2009, there will also be a Club Race the same weekend (May 23-24). :D GGR will also be hosting PCA Club Races at Thunderhill in March and September, but that is a long haul from SD.

Here is the full GGR schedule:
March 27-29, 2009 Driver's Ed/Time Trial #1/Club Race Thunderhill
May 23-24, 2009 Driver's Ed/Time Trial #2/Club Race Buttonwillow
August 1-2, 2009 Driver's Ed & Time Trial #3 Thunderhill
September 5-6, 2009 Driver's Ed/Time Trial #4/Club Race Thunderhill
October 10-11, 2009 Driver's Ed & Time Trial #5 Infineon

I am happy to see more PCA Club Races on the West Coast. I will definitely try to participate at the California Speedway Apr 3-5 and Buttonwillow May 23-24 Club Races, Thunderhill is a bit far.

The GGR TT rules are very similar to Z8, but the Club Race rules are quite different and managed by PCA national.

It would be fun to drive at Infineon as well. I saw an IRL and Rolex Grand Am race there 2 years ago. It looked like a lot of fun.
