Streets of Willow tech and Video

Postby Steve Grosekemper on Sun Nov 07, 2004 9:31 pm

Just a reminder to all the drivers heading up to SOW event this weekend. Please get your cars pre-teched at one of the approved tech stations. This list can be found on the tech page of this site along with video of a hotlap in CCW direction with the bowl.

http://www.pcasdr.org/tech/index.html

This will greatly increase efficency at the hotel friday night as it will be dark much earlier making the inspections take longer. We only have 2 inspectors to check out near 50 cars so help us out and get this done in advance.

Thanks in advance

So what's with the "and Video" portion of the subject? I was expecting some cool vids of SoW or something... :(

I have to ask, even though I may have to duck and cover...

If I can't get my car in this week, will there be Tech Saturday Morning at Streets?

video - and a little smack-talk.

Wow, interesting video of the track. Looks fun CCW.

I have to comment, though.

I'm sure John Worth is a good driver, but from my seat here in the office, the inputs looked and sounded a little rough. :( Maybe it's just the video, or something, but the hands on the wheel looked more like a lumberjack's than a driver's. And no gloves?

Of course, he's battling a 'Vette. Maybe that's the technique for driving high-powered cars with limited cornering ability. Perhaps I'll talk to Dan A. and Curt A. about that style of driving  . (Just kidding, guys  )

Have fun this weekend, everyone!

There will be tech at the track Saturday, but there is a real time crunch involved. We will have a special inspection for you Dan...

The video is on the tech page where it says "Click Here"
I didn't think the Web chair would have a problem finding the click here button.

On second thought I better be carefull what I say since Mike could make all my pages disappear in seconds...

Just Kidding Mike!!!

I didn't go to the "tech" page as I figured it was waaay over my head. That's my story and I'm sticking to it... :? Of course it was something like 12:30AM and I'm not 100% sure both of my eye were open....

You got that right! Or I may just mysteriously edit pages here and there... anybody want to buy a vowel?

BTW, I'm not the Web "Chair"... I've seen his job and I don't want it. At least when my clients yell at me they also pay the invoice at the end of the month 8)

Have fun guys.

Hopefully I will get to try my first TT with you guys next year. Just need to get a roll bar since with an engine swap, brakes, etc, my car is "Improved"...

Mike-
There was a guy named Stanki on the old forum who posted a great picture of Steve and his 914. Maybe you could get that pic and put it on one of the tech pages?
