Registration is now open for the biggest (and closest) event of the year, the California Festival of Speed, April 3-5, at Auto Club Speedway (formerly California Speedway) in Fontana, CA. Price goes up after March 6 and this event has a limited capacity, so sign up now!

Registration for this event, which includes a Club Race as well, is on a different site than we used for our Willow Springs event (sorry about that, it's beyond my control). Fear not though, we will return to Motorsportreg.com for the remainder of the 2009 TT season after the Festival.

To register:

Go to http://www.ClubRegistration.net
Login or create a login
Click Event Sign Up
Select PCA Zone 8 on the Club drop down menu and click Search...
Click Continue... in the Options column for the Time Trial
Read the event info, then click REGISTER and fill out the form
Pay particular attention to the Event Payment screen as you must mail or fax your payment for this event (no online payment for this event)

For more info about the event or to volunteer to help go to http://calfestival.org

Only two weeks left to sign up for the Festival Time Trial at a discounted rate. No price increase from last year, despite higher track rental fees for the Zone. In fact, new for this year, you can elect to forego a t-shirt and the Saturday night dinner if you'd like and you'll be in for even less than 2008. Be sure to send in your payment by March 6 in order to qualify for the discounted pricing as there is no online payment feature for this event.

One week to go. Sign up now before you forget, resulting in an expensive oversight.

Last day to sign up AND pay if you want to get the lowest rate, so you'll need to fax in your credit card info immediately after registering online.

It's not too late to sign up (though it's getting close). We're expecting the best driving conditions at this event to date so if you qualify don't miss this opportunity. Sign up soon before registration closes and you miss out.

Has anyone gotten a confirmation for a hotel reservation by chance? I faxed the form but have not heard anything back.

Online registration for the Festival closes on Monday March 30. If you've been thinking about joining in the fun at the last minute, the time has arrived. Go to http://www.clubregistration.net now before it's too late. Those of you not participating, come on up to watch, take the lunchtime track tour, check out vendor row, and see tons of cool cars doing what they do best. Better yet, volunteer to help too. PM me for info on how to do that.
