Hey AXERS!
Online registration is open for the 4/11 Zone 8 Autocross. You can register online at https://www.motorsportreg.com/index.cfm/event/calendar through 4/8 midnight for $45.00. Paying online is quick and easy, but if you prefer not to, you can skip the payment part and pay at the trailer the morning of the event. If you bring cash, do us a favor and bring the exact amount (it's amazing how many of you have $100 bills in your wallet!). Your driver envelope will be in the trailer if you haven't paid in advance.

You can also register via fax or snail mail through 4/8 midnight for $50.00. If you mail your form, please be sure it will arrive in time and get the most recent form off the website: the mail-in address has changed to Yermo Ct! :surr: FYI the fax program will be discontinued in June, so get on board with online registration.

If you miss the deadline, you can always register at the trailer the morning of the event for $65.

Regardless of how you register, fees are refunded (minus a $2.00 handling fee for credit cards) if you do not attend the event.

See you at the track!

IMHO Fax machines should all have been recycled by now or be on display in a Museum, but there are still people and even high tech companies using them out there (just like COBOL). :D

Martin,

Can you put your complaint in a COBOL 80 column punch card format and fax it to me?

EBCDIC this brings back memories :D and also reminds me of my internship. Dave do you want a complaint in COBOL 74 (I), COBOL ANS 85 (II) or in RPG :D

EBCDIC? There appears to be an extra bit in each byte - IBM's EBCDIC was an 8-bit code. That looks a little bit like DEC's Octal bytes - 252, 525, 711 for their 18-bit machines (or maybe the Univac 418?). :D

Since I started programming on the DEC PDP-8, -11, and -10 (old DEC guys will understand the progression) all of that stuff looks real familiar. I even had a DEC VT-52 terminal at home (like the one on the right) with an acoustic coupler so I could "network" into the "server".

Hmm... Try EBCDIC with parity bit on right - get 55, AA, E4 = "--U". Try EBCDIC with parity on left, get AA, 55, C9 = "--I". Bleep... malformed string... Bleep... :?

Please rephrase all complaints in APL. Bonuses given for fewest number of total characters with the greatest number of distinct character codes.
