SUPPORTERS

Postby Ted Myrus on Sat Mar 21, 2009 10:39 am

Recently there was a post asking for a recommendation for a machine shop. I was struck by the fact that Motor Works, Inc. (619-233-8875) was not mentioned.
This company is in their second decade of supporting our club with Witness advertising. Please support those who support us. Witness advertisers make the newsletter possible, provide venues for Tech Sessions, and support our silent auction. Many of these advertisers are fellow club members. In addition to a full aray of automobile parts and services you can avail your self of food, real estate, wine, financial services, etc. PLEASE SUPPORT THOSE WHO SUPPORT YOU.

Brian,

We have used them for the machine work on two 944 engine rebuilds with great success.

It seems that we could support our supporters with more exposure than their advertising dollars are currently buying. If someone on the forum is looking for a machine shop, it's possible they don't spend enough time looking thru the Witness to notice Motor Works' advertisement. I, for one, spend *way* more time looking on this forum than I do reading the magazine, and I suspect I'm not the only one. There are folks out there who are not being effectively reached by our supporters because of the limited media at their disposal.

Searching the website, I could not find a section showing who our supporters are. I think the club should add an advertisers' page with links and contact information. At least it would offer people a way to identify PCA friendly vendors without having to flip thru the magazine.

[edit] Ok, I see there's a "links" page. Not really informative, but it's something. Can we improve that?
