Do you guys go up the last Wednesday of each month? It's a long way from where I live, but during spring break I'd like to bring my 12 year old daughter to run with the group. She's raced real karts from the age of 5 and I'm sure she could do just fine, if not beat a couple of us that say...... .have a extra ballast on board :banghead: ....

Peter, 12 years old is no problem. I've seen an 8 year old run there, and she was pretty fast. The more the merrier. :)

Well, we had a good time as usual.
This event was attended by two members who drove all the way from Ontario just to run with us, so for all of you that way "Carlsbad is too far from La Mesa" (or wherever) I say......WAAAAA
Our normal finishing order is "Damn, Mark beat me by .03 seconds....AGAIN! :banghead: " and this outing was no different :beerchug:

Here are the results for this weeks Karting Challenge. We had a great time and thanks to Dave and Dan Hockett for making the trek down here from Ontario to play with us. I'm just beating Lucky Dave by a couple of hundredths each time. I know my days are numbered, but I won't go down without a fight (or at least try to spin him into the wall)

Hey big fun guys! The local "home track hot shoes" showed us how karting is done but we still managed decent times for our first night at this track. I shaved a little every session. Maybe we will see you next month.

Hey guys,

It's spring break for the kiddies. I don't know if it's in the rotation, but is anyone going to K1 this Wednesday night?

So for this event are you racing or just looking for the fastest one lap time?

I went up to K1 for the 1st time a couple weeks ago with Mark R., Lucky Dave, Jerry B. and some others from PCASDR along with my brother and daughter and found out it's mostly for fastest timed lap. But the last race of the night we had 13 guys on track and naturally, it's hard if not impossible to get a clean lap in. Ironically it ended up being the most fun because no one could run on the ideal line. I tried my best to keep Dave behind me taking a defensive line, but he eventually gave me the NASCAR touch and go and spun me. That race was the most fun I've had in a long time and brought back a lot of memories. :burnout:

For These ultimatley we are going for who has the fastest time. But it is very easy an kinda fun to mix it up/bang it up with fellow PCA members or any one else on the track. :D

As if it were yesterday!! Mostly good with a handle full of drama race incident memories :D

K1 brings back most of my karting memories, but its not to easy to duplicate the feeling of going 70 mph plus side by side at the Q parking lot with SD karting, or the Banked turns at Cajon speedway.
