First day is done and what a ball. This is so much fun why wasn't I participating sooner? Have Jackie Corwin as my instructor and like we all know she is great. Pushes me to go faster and faster. What a kick.

Ah, the slippery slope captures another unsuspecting innocent. Say goodbye to your wallet, Ron, it will be stripped bare as you slide downhill...

Yeah, but what a ride!!

Great job this weekend Ron. It's easy to tell the drivers that are having fun. They look like this. :D

and be safe of course, right Ron? BTW, rookie to the Speedway and he pulls off his best in timed runs, nicely done Ron. Thanks to all the volunteers and Robert and Jack of course. Zone 8 did an amazing job and everything appeared to run smoothly as always. Lots of 1st time SDR people who did really great as well, both in club race and TTs. It rocked.

Oh, Tom I had the bug a long time ago and the wallet has gotten progressively thinner. This was the first chance I had to Time Trial and on a big track. Have done streets many times as a DE. Jackie is just great and as an instructor is beyond compare. She says she nagged me all weekend. But when I was alone in the car I missed that constant reminder that I could do better and go faster. Thanks again to both Jackie and Phil. Phil comes and helps any and everyone who has a problem with their car (ask Chuck Sharp about that). Then pits for Jackie when she comes in and complains that the car doesn't have any power after she turns a super fast lap. What a team they are.

The team of Robert and Jack just seem to be ticking along with one great event after another. Can't make the May event but will definitely be there in Oct and Nov. Thanks is not enough for you guys.

Ron

I had a blast Friday (other than a few mechanical issues with the car). I am looking forward to the June DE - should have everything (including me) fixed up by then. Until Friday, I had never driven anything faster than 110, so driving a track with 100+ speeds in multiple spots was a gas! :D Even though the bowl was a bit intimidating, especially with a little too much pressure in the tires.

The event ran really smoothly and the cameraderie throughout was great. A special thanks to Ryan Calvert on Steve Weiler's team who diagnosed the mechanical problems and even got my reverse gear working again.

The "slope" certainly exacts a price to be sure. But the thrills and camaraderie are priceless.

Thanks to all those you organized, managed and attended a great, great weekend event.

All of your coments above are the motivations behind the work we do for our member-friends in this club. I am elated to hear such positive feedback.

Thank you all for supporting our programs and event. Great BIG thanks to Robert and Jack for managing, coordinating and implementing these events.

I have only one big excuse for why I am not able to drive at my own party, but Mr. Baizer reminded me that I have made public promises to drive in other Time Trials this year.

By the way, you should have seen the grins on Ron and Kim.

This was both my first time trial as well as first big track experience, and I had a ball. Since getting involved w/SDR about a year and a half ago, the thing that keeps coming across - all the time - is just how great the people and organization are. Everyone is always eager to help out - with time, ideas, instruction, you name it. This was a really well done event, and I made some new friends. My personal thanks to everyone involved, but special thanks to Bernie, Paul, Robert, & Jack.
