Rules question

For a 3.2 to 3.6 engine substitution would the use of a cat bypass pipe or deletion of the secondary muffler prohibit one from using Section III, part K (Engine horsepower increase) for assessing points rather than Section III parts E thru J?

Richard,

Tom Brown (Z-8 rules czar)is out of town for a while so i will try to answer this question.
Because you can't use the exact same exhaust from one car to another the exhaust is free under Section III, part K (Engine horsepower increase) It doesn't matter if you have headers on your car or stock exhaust.

I will make a note include this explanation in next years rules proposals.
