OC Autocross Runways to be demolished this summer????

According to this article in the OC Register, they plan to start demolishing the runways this summer. See the second to last paragraph.

Further on in the posted article a commenter says:

Once again, all talk and back slapping and no action. Same story, different year. The runways will not be demolished this summer. Lennar is in chaos and now we learn they don't even have the permits to move forward. This is what happens when you put Larry, Moe, and Curly in charge. Wake up Irvine!

If true, perhaps demo won't be happening soon.

That's too bad. one more AX venue going by the wayside. Just like the Q it a matter of time before it's gone, El Toro will be probably happen before the Q. We've been very fortunate to have a run like we've had at the Q. One day we'll be looking for an alternative - real estate rules.

With Lennar in bankruptcy now it will probably slow the process some.(i hope, i hope, i hope)
