Getting rid of Bernie and Max may be a good thing. I see Bernie still has money belonging to teams from as far back as 2006.

But..... Like Yogi Berra said "It ain't over till it's over"

Interesting times ahead for F1.

AutoWeek had a good story on this with profiles of all the hopefuls waiting in the wings to field new teams if there are openings. It sounded like most of them were more hope than substance. The holdout teams have an agreement that if anyone breaks away and rejoins F1 without majority support (like Ferrari did last time) then they must pay each of the other teams $50 million, which Ecclestone says violates various anti-trust laws. Ah, just what F1 needs, protracted litigation.

I'd like to see the FOTA launch a new series that is Euro-centric, focusing on the traditional GP circuits - back to France, staying in Silverstone, both courses in Germany, etc. plus 2 or 3 North American races. Just long enough to kill off Max and Bernie. This would relegate F1 to be something like GP1.5 - almost a Cosworth spec series, because I can't see Ferrari, MB, Renault, or Toyota sending engines to the 'old' F1. Then with the greedy, power mad idiots out of the way, the two groups could reunite with more money going back to the teams and the circuits. Ah, one can dream...

Not for long - the two sanctioning bodies are back together. Mosely's out which is good.

Ahhhhhh, the drama! I don't know what's more controversial, Formula 1 or the Zone 8 proposed rule changes.

But for those that follow F1 closely, here is a funny clip to keep things light. :beerchug:

Hold on. F1 might have upped the ante on the drama over the rules proposal with this one...

Looks like the Max and Bernie show has finally split for good. Bernie chose his wallet over his buddy:

Max is like the creature in a horror film you have to kill at least 3 times before it is truly dead. Lets be thankful his name isn't Freddie. :roflmao:

I think Max will eventually go and not run for re-election, but he'll leave claw marks on the floor before he goes.
