PCA SDR

If you'd like to watch a large variety of cars racing, come up to the Auto Club (California) Speedway in Fontana this weekend. It will be a big event with F1, IndyCars, F2, F Atlantics, F Ford, Porsches, Lotus, Can-Am racing etc.

BTW If you come up, stop by to say hi. I'm in garage G1-68 and will be running in group #4

Excellent, I am looking forward to it. My car should be faster this time around as I've learned a few tricks in Germany last month on how these cars should be run and setup

I don't think the GoKarts will be running, I heard that they may be back in October at Big Willow.

Martin...will you be able to run Coronado with HMSA? I understand they are running some formula cars.

I checked their website, but have not asked as they don't have a class for my car and it's too new. It appears that HSR-West and CalClub SCCA are the only organizations on the west coast which have a class for modern Formula cars. HSR-West is a great organization.

How did you do? I was set to go on Saturday and planned to be there by 8 but-as always-s... happens and I could not make it

Hi Gunter,

Sorry you couldn’t make it. Kris and Ethan stopped by, Behr and Jen were there to help. Behr really helped out and enjoyed the technical aspects of the car. We also figured out that I am using the wrong tire compound. I should be using a softer tire.

I had a great time driving and am feeling more comfortable – still not flat out in turn 1 and 2 yet. The people are great and Bernard (Jay Leno’s Swiss Mechanic) in his Formula 2 won the race with fastest lap time of 1:37.6. My best lap time during the race was 1:44.3. In the final race. I was fighting for 4th, but screwed up in turn 5, spun and stalled and had to watch 4 cars pass me.

Next race is in August at Infineon Raceway, where my car should do very well with the more technical track.
