Posting here because this forum gets more traffic.
My front tires are going away and I'd like to try 245's on my RS ride height 993.
Currently running 235 - 40 X 18's with no issues.
cheers
Craig

I used to run 245 - 35 x 18 tires on my 993 which was lowered. I did have a fair amount of negative camber (about -3 degrees) which helped. On full wheel lock the tires would rub on the inside of the wheel well. i ran 275 - 30 x 18 tires in the rear.

I ran 245/645-18 Hoosier Grand Ams on 8x18 et 52 wheels. I guess it does rub on the inside when turned to full lock, but unless you are parallel parking you won't notice it. They never rubbed the outside (show side). I ran 245-35 (I think) RA-1's with same effect (none). You are certainly welcome to come by the house and try on the Grand Ams and the 250/650 Cup Hoosiers anytime you like...
