Coronado Thank You...Hostpitality Tent

I know for Monique and I we would just like to say "THANK YOU" for all our members hard work. There is not a better group of people to work with!!!!

The Committee has taken this event from nothing 5 years ago with no tent, parking in the back of the Corral lot, to a 10'X10' tent with just snacks 4 years ago and snacks with a box lunch one day 3 years ago, to a 20'X40' tent with a box lunch the first day and full food the second day 2 years ago, to full food both days this year in the best location in the Car Corral.

We even had a great "Event Shirt" made up by our own Gary Burch...Thank you Gary!

Every one that has had a hand in this should be so proud, because it has become San Diego's premier event for all our members to enjoy!

A special thanks to our committee: Katie Kinninger, Angela Avitt, Monique Straub, Chuck Sharp, Mark Rondeau, Joe Hoffmann and Kaid Marouf.

Not to be left out, also special thanks to all our workers: Curt Yaws, Doug Clarke, Dean Spooner, Dick Hofland, Rick Valentine, Steve Mc Kay, John Bell, Jackie and Phil Corwin. And Skip and Leslie Shirley for bringing the "Goodie Store" to the event.

I apologize if I have left someone out...your all great!

As you can see, this is not a one man job!

Thank you again...it was the best year ever! We even had Porsche's ultimate "Track Weapon" the 917/30 on display at the tent.

John

PS. Over 240 Car Corral passes went out!

John and the crew thank you very much. :D
The tent/parking volunteers appeared to work long hours, while laughing all day and engaging all visitors.
You all really put on a wonderful hospitality tent, envy of other clubs no doubt.
The parade laps Saturday were fun too.
cheers,
Mike
