PCA SDR

We missed Jack Miller, but Robert B. pulled it off big time. How can one guy do the pre-registration, the registration at the track, drive in his run sessions and do the timing, AND get the results up on the SDR web site. Incredible.

Everyone was on their best behavior, very few offs...and the ones we had were minor.

Great fun for me, seeing lots of old friends from San Diego. Great event, so typical of a SDR TT! I'll see you guys in January at Willow Springs.

Wow, Jad - under two minutes - very impressive! Please tell me that this was the shorter turn #2 (off ramp) configuration.

Yes it was. Jad's time is amazing when you look at his time from last year. Over two seconds faster!!
Otto was over 4 seconds faster then last year!! Impressive stuff

You were right there with me all along Gunter. We had a blast, didn't we?

It took a herculean effort, everything to go right and, most important, brand-new slicks to get that top BRI spot away from Jad. It gets tougher all the time as he keeps improving his game To those reading, at the end of the day it is mostly about tires and who has the best tires. Think about it when you are deciding how to use your mod points.

What happened to Saturday's results. They're not blended in with Sunday's...

Saturday was just practice laps, Sunday only was timed runs and the Event Standing report you are looking at John only shows laps times exclusively from timed runs. If you click the link on the TT results page that says Lap Details you can see a driver's lap times from every lap driven on either day.

While I appreciate the sentiment, these events never get pulled off single-handedly. Everyone should also give kudos to those who've made these events possible all year, like the tech guys (Rick, Peter, Steve as tech adviser, etc.), equipment (Glenn), Zone 8 docs (Paul), pics/articles (Greg), Christy who ran times back and forth for our last two events, everyone who has volunteered to supervise a track tour, anyone I forgot to mention, and on and on. These behind the scenes duties are perhaps not as visible but every bit as important as everything else in pulling off a TT. Thanks to everyone who helped once or all year long, and of course to everyone who supported the series by driving. See you in 2010.

Ah a sport racer the world is in order again then My first thoughts were it must have been an open-wheel car as they run in these lap-times maybe a bit quicker, but since the PCA rules won't allow Formula cars it couldn't be it.

It looks like an Elan Van Diemen DP02 Sports Racer to me--they run in IMSA Lites 1 and SCCA CSR class. Didn't Jad test drive one at WSIR last year?

I would say yes. He turned a 148.95 on Saturday. WOW!!!!
