Get a car first. After that, you'll spend plenty of time online finding parts for it.

Mark:

I own a 1986 Turbo and the front Koni struts of a 1989 944 Turbo will not fit directly into a 1986 and that presume also applies to a 1986 944. The other parts might fit but you better wait and get the car first to directly check with an option to return the parts that do not fit.

Thanks Otto. Thats good information to know. I will try to avoid the temptation to buy things too early, its just so hard when you find a swaybar for under $40.

That's right... the hubs are totally different as this is an ABS car.
Cart before the horse? That would be the PC way of putting it.
87 and later is a different animal that earlier.
83-85 is the early car.
85.5-86 is a little of both...

Start hanging out with the 944 set at AX and bring a notepad... There's plenty to learn.

Will do. And thanks for the information and input. There was an extended portion of my life where I didn't ask questions and since that didn’t work out well, I made a conscious shift to just ask away if I had them. I do apologize if I have pushed the “question tachometer ” to the red line. :-) I will try to watch for the yellow shift light before it hits red.
