SnapFish Pics to the 4-Um

Gordon (and others);

I too struggled with getting SnapFish images directly to the forum.

The trick is to go to the picture itself in the "Photos" tab, right-click on the picture, and select "properties" (at the bottom).
A new window pops open, and in the middle is "Address: (URL)". You can highlight this with your mouse, being sure to grab
all of the URL (sometimes it's three lines), and do a Ctrl-C (or right click, copy) to copy the URL.

Then, in the window on the Forum page where you compose your message, you'll see a button marked "Img".
Click that, and it will place the image indicator in your message (do this where you want the image to go).
In between the bracket thingies, place that URL you copied from SnapFish, and that should do it.
You can PREVIEW your message, and the actual picture should be embedded in your post.

For example, when I post a pic using this...

Code: Select all

The picture will appear thus...

Thanks, Paul. I would have never guessed that the REAL URL would be under properties. :?
I would like to add a couple of things I found out in the process.
In Firefox the URL stays on one line and you have to enlarge the box to get all of it.
I had edited my scans down to 1024 x 768. But when I uploaded them to Snapfish that they became 800 x 600.
Even so, I noticed that in our forum that some of the pics were cropped. You may notice that on the right hand side of the pics there is a little that has been cut off. Next time I'll have to play with the size and see what will be the optimum for this forum.
All in all snapfish is an easy way to get pics posted on this forum.
