I don't think so. California Reformulated Gasoline (CaRFG3) regulations do not require the use of ethanol. However, ethanol is an oxygenate, and there is an oxygen content requirement established by CARB. Since the death of MTBE as an additive in 2003, ethanol has been used to meet the required CARB oxygen content requirement, plus the corn lobby has pushed federal mandates for the use of ethanol in fuels. I think all street pump gas in CA now contains 5.7% ethanol, soon to be boosted to 10%. You have to go to race gas suppliers to find non-oxygenated fuel and avoid ethanol content, I think. Sunoco 260 GTX is an unleaded race fuel without ethanol, but it is for "offroad use only" in race series that do not allow oxygenated fuel.
