Hi all. I don't have actual plans for doing this, but I saw a manual stearing rack off an '83 944 for sale and it got me to wondering. The gent seemed to be a part out vendor and said he had the parts to fit it to either he early or late model 944. I wonder, will such a setup fit on the '87 924S?
Cheers,
Mark

Mark,
Yes, the 83 manual rack will bolt right up because the 924S has an early front suspension. You could use it on an 87-88 944 as well, but you'd have to swap the tie rods to the ABS length. Your power steering rack has a much quicker ratio, which means less work on the wheel.

Thanks for the info Tim. I do plan on keeping the PS but was curious as to the possibilities. Always good to know.
