The venue had a lot of promise, but the city of irvine saw a video of a spin and put a quash on any future lapping events.

Anyway , on Sunday PCA overall came in 1,2,3 for TTOD

Kary Clements - Congrats on FTD!
Dan Andrews - only lost to Kary by .6 seconds.. :banghead: Freakin 3.6's...
Gunter Enz - lucky for me he corded a tire, or I would have been toast.. :surr:

Also Niraj did excellent as well! First or second in class I believe!

Thanks Dan! I did a lot better than expected. Between the first and second day, I managed to improve by 5 seconds. Pretty happy with the results considering it was my first lapping event.

Chet finished first in his class both days! I was quicker (muahaha... had to throw that in there) BUT my car is a V2 car because of a few mods (e.g. bodykit, spoiler... :banghead:) soooo that wasn't really happening. All I need is to strip my interior, get a full suspension and Hoosiers to be competitive there... oh and seat time.

Either way, PCA SDR had a really solid representation over the weekend and it was great hanging out up there!! Now I need to buy new tires...

Cheers!

I had a great time at this even, though I only ran on Sunday.

I did get a first in class by 1.5 seconds against a veteran driver, who in the first run session that day gave me my checkout ride for my STS license. Now I can do Time Trials with POC.

Well driven lower HP cars did well on this track configuration. It was fun having the Cayman S's and Boxters in my run group.

The surface of the track in some places was rougher or uneven than I thought it might be, but again, Buttonwillow last November seemed to have a bit of a rough well-used surface when compared to Spring Mountain or Auto Club Speedway infield.

With no passing, I would not go to El Toro again.

I heard that the city has put the nix on any further lapping events at El Toro. Whether you liked the track or not, for now El Toro appears to be gone for lapping events. Politicians just don't get it.
