My brother called me a couple of weeks back to tell me that a Carrera GT had been brought into the delaership that he works for, the owner had slid it into a tree. Tub was caved in along with either the front or rear. Maybe 600+ hp is just too much for the rich and famous!! Also, earlier this year I heard from a salesman at Walters Porsche in Riverside that a black Carrera GT that was being driven home from the dealer (might have been the black one shown at Speedweek), was rear ended by a pick up. Ouch. Lets see, how may Carrera GT's can be loaded in a combi 747 for a trip to Germany to save air freight costs?

The Carrerra GT that you speak of was purchased at Pioneer Centers Porsche in San Diego and rear ended by a pick up truck two blocks away at the Shell station... I was there the day it rolled off the delivery truck, the day it was delivered, and the day it was wrecked...
I have pics of all... And it wasnt black, it was grey!

Maybe there was two of them rear ended, as the one I heard about was in LA and was sold out of McKenna. The one tha hit the light pole was in Orange County. Well, who would want one of them now anyway as that little Dutch built Super 7 clone kicked it's butt in Germany!

I guess there is a trend... people cant drive these things without wrecking them! Can you imagine calling an insurance company and saying, Hello i just wrecked my $450k car"
