For the 10th time....
PLEASE stop asking for the late fee to be waived for "you" because you were too busy to register. This is how the club makes money on you slackers and it's not fair to the rest of the people who actually pay that fee. We are on an automated system and it's difficult for those of us who do registration to rework the system around your negligence. This time it's only 10 or so who asked for special dispensation, but there's always people who contact us every ax. Register in advance and don't come if you want. You won't be charged. Thank you.

You Tell 'em Jackie!

And that will be another $10 if your car is not in tech line track ready and ready to be inspected before 7:30:00am.
7am is the prefered time frame...
The tech team likes to do the track walk as well, so I hope everyone is early and not $10 poorer.

Officially:
6:30 AM Tech Inspection opens
6:45 AM Registration opens, Note: There is a penalty fee for walk-ups. Pre-register using the on-line reg system and save money.
7:25 AM Track walk with Chief Driving Instructor
7:30 AM Late fees begin if not in the Tech Inspection line by now
8:00 AM No admittance if not in Tech Inspection line
8:30 AM Mandatory Drivers meeting
9:00 AM Practice sessions begin
NOON Lunch available, usually while practice sessions in progress
2:00 PM Timed Runs begin
5:00 PM Timed runs are finished. Track closed. Pick-up track and pit area
5:45 PM Awards

Here Here!!
Also, how about an announcement at the Driver's meeting reminding those who don't read the forum?

Great Idea Jennifer and thanks for volunteering to make that announcement!
(You have been around long enough to know how this works)

Thanks for calling me old Steve

I won't be able to drive the AX after all but may come down and could certainly announce something.

I used to do the AX, DE registration. Back then it was not automated, we didn't have to pay Motorsports a fee as well as the MC/VISA fees.

Jennifer, how grouchy did you get with those "slackers"?

For those of you considering your first AX, don't be alarmed. Registration and Tech may bark, but they don't bite.
And once you get past them, you will find the AX chairs to be the real sweethearts behind all the fun.

Don, my other pre-reg team used to call me the "Good Cop" because I saw a pattern of some of the same people who would forgot to register, so I emailed them a personal reminder. So, I didn't have to deal with too much of it. But with this automated system, it is black and white. And, like a lot of things now a days, you talk to the computer. It is what it is. Just sign up early and if you can't make it, no problem.

Registration is a tough but rewarding job - lots of details, but you really get an insight into the people and the club.

And it makes the line at the trailer long. I never get to do the track walk - too many people to register that could have done it in advance. Also - is you bring cash, please bring exact change! I still owe two people from Sat. We have little change in trailer. :surr:
