That was definitely one of the fastest track designs I have seen lately! I was deep into 3rd gear several times. Congrats to Erik for the "double" once again (TTOD and #1 BRI time)--there is just no denying youth and talent. I was far too in touch with my mortality to pull the last second or two out of that course that I needed, especially after the freak stuck WOT experience I had at the end of the first session. I was just too timid after that to really attack the course. I hate to think how badly Erik would have destroyed my times if I had put him in my car...

My friend had a great time with the TotT thing, and is thinking about coming out to the next event in his street-tired Honda Civic, now, to see what it would be like to drive an autox instead of just ride along. He was blown away by the cars and the camaraderie of our club members, as well as the organization and management of the event. Thanks to everyone for making it possible for him to participate. I think it really is an important tool for increasing awareness and "visibility" of the club's driving events in the community, and can't help but improve our image. Even though he is a San Diego native, he had no idea this kind of thing was happening right here in his hometown.

Great track!! I was in 4th gear going up the hill! I don't think I could have posted a better time without making some more changes to the car.

Thanks to the AX chairs and all of the volunteers who make these events happen. Without volunteers (lots of them), these events don't happen. Make sure you remember to thank them... or you could become one and reap all of that praise yourself. Just contact your 2011 board members to find out how. :D

Everybody seemed happy with a fast track, interesting design to start and finish on he same side.

+1. Great day, great track, great help from everyone. Special congrats to the 10 TTOD ... with some notable new members to that cadre.

In particular ... nice driving to "2011 Mr. President" Carl Scragg, whom on the last lap of the entire day pulled some magic out of his hat; and Mark Rondeau .... whom I had to hose down after a scorching/"Hair-on-Fire" drive in his 944S. Dude! :burnout: He beat up Joel Bowman and me to be the "TCDITOD" (Top CDI time o day) ... DAWG!

A great way to end the competitive year of AX- ing.

I think everyone had some of their best times and fastest laps at this event. Very fun! It was particularly interesting Corner Working Corner 3 ... where cars were traveling at remarkable speeds through an on-camber sweeper that exceeded 60 MPH...and in some cases 4th gear work. There were a few high speed wiggles and spins that caused "under-garment failure!" Too much fun!

Three-Cheers to the AX Chairs and all the volunteers for a stellar year of organization and good driving events. Nice work, all! 8)

I agree, a big thumbs up and thank you to everybody who makes this stuff happen! That was a fun course and an incredible day! Not only great fun, but my debut in the Top 10 Time of day and BRI! :burnout:

I even got the run on video!

Dan A., I thought I saw you with a pair of those special Oakley sunglasses that they made for the Chilean Miners!

Sean, Thank you for my new avatar.

I would like to personally thank the Red Run Group for increasing my daily exercise allotment by 90%. I had to chase down a lot of the slalom and other cones at my 1/2 mile corner working assignment. I owe you guys about 30 cones next time!

Thanks to all the volunteers for your work. I hope to drive with you all more next year. :D

Dan A.: do you give lessons on how to spin during Timed Runs? In all fairness, you drove well and your times reflect that. I only wish I had the limited slip, big tires, and suspension upgrades to play in your league.

As for X cars in TTOD ... don't go fightin' with Mr. TT. That's like throwing stones at a hornet's nest.
