I am thinking about taking vacation time to attend the Streets TT January and wonder if its "worth it"? It almost looks (on youtube) like a large AX track. What do you think about the track?

I have yet to find a big track that isn't "worth" it!

+1 It's a fun track, especially in a 944.

Come out and play! Streets is a 1.8 mile, tight, technical track with lots of elevation change. It rewards driving skill over HP so those of us driving slow cars with little motors like it a lot. Still one of my favorite tracks.

Drivers who want a lot of straight lines don't really like Streets.

Mark, the tightest big track is nowhere near as tight as the fastest AX track. There is no comparison and easy to get spoiled by big tracks. Attend few big track events and you won't be too concerned about missing Sunday AX. But, just so you know, the big tracks can be a major component of the slippery slope.

After running Buttonwillow I understand allll about that slope. WHhhhheeeeee! :burnout: Jerry B got his first big track experience at Chuckwalla. When I asked him what he thought of it his eyes lit up and siad "IT WAS GREAT!" Look out, here come the GSS'ers :beerchug:

(Scheduling that vacation time)

So that means you will be joining us at streets? Right John?
Monique told me you should go...
Glad to hear you will be joining us.

Cuz only a Sissy would own a 914-6 GT and not take it to the track...

"Streets" is not only for 944s. GT3s love "Streets" too. It keeps you entertained.

Steve,

I'll have to check if I'm free that weekend...I think that's the weekend I get my nails done. :)

if I find some tires I'll do PCA SOW and Chuckwalla. 8)
It's been CW last several times, CCW would be different for me.
SOW is a perfect step up fm the Q.
Still some bumps but no gravel.
POC has a SOW TT series .
find time/tires enuf to try each track.
SOW skid pad is a confidence builder...CW is a Type 1 pitch and catch right next to the pits. :burnout:

HA!

Even if you stay on track, somebody else will bespoil the track. Count on some gravel.
