Short answer: YES!
Long answer: I was speaking with Jerry B about this as we were waiting for the meeting on Monday (I have one too). Acording to him the certification is good for 10 years, so only he SA2000 and M2000 helmets are going out of service. I plan on upgrading to an SA2010...in a year or so after the prices fall

Longer answer: In the 2010 Zone 8 Rules, section XIII, C., it says, "All car occupants must wear a Snell approved helmet, which has the current available Snell rating or the one previous Snell rating. If it is a Snell M rated helmet and the occupant is required to wear a driving suit, then the occupant must also wear a nomex balaclava (headsock)." Assuming things are the same then for 2011, the answer is indeed yes, but you may need a balaclava to go with the M helmet.

They are on ebay for $89 1/2 the price for a 2010, a new helmet every 5 years.

I'm not sure but can you use a helmet listed as a motorcycle 2005 helmet?

Yes, as long as it has an M2005 rating on the sticker inside the helmet.
