Race Ready 8) , no seat time, but you have to love the optimism.

Still exploring, month 6 of the 911 experience, my wife keeps asking; "So Sugar, are you so ready to sell the new car already?"

mmm.. some have said that certain cars were "race oriented" vs. "street cars".

I did have to spend some serious hours looking and was captivated by the "little GT3" at Daytona in 2003. Read the results a little later, and not taking away from the accomplishment, but it seemed that the DP class changes caused some problems for the performance group.

That said, what fun little cars these look like, eh? So for the inexperienced, what's the bottom line on a factory new GT3R (not available in the US) and what is the difference in preparing a GT3 Cup car? The stock GT3 seems pretty doggone reasonable if you have that kind of cash, and a wife(or spouse) less frugal.

Smile,
Bryan

Bryan, six months of performace driving sounds about right for a GT3RS. But if you want to see what these cars are all about, I suggest that you make a trip up to Mind Over Motorsports and view one for yourself. They have a 2003 GT3RS for sale and would be happy to let you look it over until your heart is content. I believe the asking price is $175k, but that is likely negotiable depending on what spares come with the car.
