A bad crash in a rally event in Italy resulted in severe injuries that will put him out of the Renault F1 car for the year:

They got his hand reattached and it is responding. the leg is still a mess.

The Doc says a year, the team says a couple of months...

Robert's been one of my favorite drivers in F1, no give up in that guy!

He is lucky to be alive and that the guardrail missed him, as it went thru the car.

I think he will recover and be back, he is a fighter.
