Windshield help

Postby abarnum on Sat Mar 26, 2011 12:03 pm

Anyone have some recommendations to get a new windshield in my 86 Carrera? Was replacing the seal and cracked it, now need to replace the whole thing. Interested in either picking up new glass and doing it myself, or any recommendations for an installer. Thanks.

Citywide Auto Glass did a fine job on my '68 front windshield when I was putting it back together after painting. They came out to Jim's Upholstery while I was having the dash covered. I had the gasket already, and the new windshield was $134.51 (this was 2 years ago, now), and they installed it for $70 labor, for a total of $216.28 w/ tax (you made me go pull out the invoice).

They're in Kearny Mesa. (858) 569-6000

I've had good experience with States Auto Glass, 619-265-8949 ask for Manny.

They're mobile, friendly, affordable, and most important Porsche experienced.

Citywide does all our glass work.
Very reasonalble and professional and come out to you.
They know Porsches... and don't use an aftermarket seal... only Porsche.
You will know why in a few years.
