Not sure we could stuff you into a beetle, much less a beetster ...

My first car was a '68 Bug. My brothers and I all had bugs in 1977; one of which was a "California Bug" with a 1770cc engine, lowered, bumper delete, etc, etc (not mine, though). This Bugster looks pretty cool, except for a couple of details in the interior.
I always appreciated the simple machine that was that old VW. It taught me how to to do repairs, the importance of maintenance, and why you should always carry just enough tools and parts to remove and rebuild half the engine on the side of the road. Never travel without a spare carburetor, Bosch Distributor, wiring, string, duct tape, and electrical test meter. Ah, the good ol' days.
I wonder if the pan of the Bugster will hold up to the rigors of the G's put out by this thing??
As for your avatars (Gary and Dan A.) ... YIKES! Run Forrest, run!

Yes! It is a Bug shell dropped onto a Boxster tub. See
