130 car cutoff for August 07 AX?

Postby mad wombat on Wed Aug 03, 2011 10:24 am

Hi all

Just wanted to confirm if there will be a 130 cutoff this Sunday??

I didnt get a chance to prereg for this Sundays AX :banghead: ....thought there would be an extra day on motorsportreg cause the event is on Sunday rather than Sat.....rookie move....

Any ideas for my chances of registering on the day???

Cheers

I too fell asleep at the wheel and am surprised there is no facility to register on line (with penalty) after 12:01am on tuesday. Please advise.

Sorry Dan et all. There are no exceptions for late comers except at the trailer. Track walk starts on time so get to the trailer early. I've gotten messages from more than 10 people today asking if they can have special dispensation. Seriously? Prereg like the rest of us. Thanks.

I love you Dan, and I'll miss you. I have no power over the cutoff for drivers. I only have control over pre reg. Good thing, huh?

Can I get an official ruling? Since I cannot confirm my attendance by using pre-reg , whats happens when I drive over an hour to get there on Sunday to register? Is this where the X car scenario comes into play? Is it SOL? You have 3 days advance notice of my intent , what can be confirmed and what cant. Please advise..

I think chances are good that the 130 limit will not be exceeded Sunday. I only see 125 pre-registrations, and there are always some people who sign up but don't come down on the day of the event. Add them to the 5 places still free, and I think there will be room for possibly a dozen people to register on the day of the event. Both you and Dan should come on down!

Thanks Jerry, Tom and Jackie

Good to hear there is still hope to get a run in on Sun :beerchug: I need all the practice I can get....

Ill be up bright and early to get to tech at 6:30 and wander across to the trailer as soon as they are set up.

Ill be sure to register before Tuesdays regardless of a Sat/Sun AX

Cheers

And for everyone's information we are short of Instructors and will need help. If you say you are not instructing on the registration, we will try to accommodate, but it often gets screwed up by the time all the walk ups get processed - so no guarantee.

From a registration standpoint, I think its possible for everyone to get their act together and register by the deadline! I'm all for eliminating the day of registration walk-ups so everyone knows they are in and we can control X Cars - as well as assign students and Instructors better. But, keep in mind, we registration crew may just be a little grouchy before the AX when we are processing everyone. :roflmao:
