trailer bearing maintenance shop

OK, the trailer has about 10k miles on it, so it is over due to have the brakes and bearings inspected. Anyone know of a place to take it near Del Mar? (or at least closer than El Cajon). It is a Carson Racer 18' trailer.

Jad,

I have used RV Specialists in Miramar for brake and bearing work on my trailer. It's a little closer than El Cajon. :D

Had mine (20' Carson) done at Preston's in La Mesa, almost EC.
the 4 backing plates and all parts (wheel cyl/shoes/bearings/drums) replaced with new.
It was time for 4 tires too.

Thanks. I took it into RV Specialists today. They seemed nice and knowledgeable. Should be ready next week.

My travel trailer is also due for wheel bearings re-pack. I was gonna take it to Camping World in San Marcos but would prefer somewhere closer from home like Miramar. Jad, would you care to share how much you paid for the work? If it's not much more than Camping World I'd rather go to RV Specialists.

Thanks,

It is $110 per axel to have the brakes adjusted and the bearings repacked. They also found the magnets on one side weren't working :? So $60 more per wheel on the left side, but the brakes should work a lot better. How much is Camping World?

Jad, Camping World has a special for $195 for double axle, bearing pack only. They also have a special on exterior detail. I may just go to Camping World this time. Thanks for the info.
