August 7th Autocross Results

Postby martinreinhardt on Sun Aug 07, 2011 7:02 pm

I uploaded the results from this fun event. I loved the track layout. We had some challenges with timing, corner-workers and the track falling apart, but overall a great event.

Congratulations to Mike Avitt for the TTOD

Can I start something ? :twisted:

what's the word/buzz on posting "x" class cars in the top 10 list ?
how do you feel about that ?

Dave, there was a Board decision to NOT have X-cars in the Top Ten. They were to have their own Top Ten. Apparently, the software has still not caught up with the Board's decision.

Technically from the rules: X cars should be excluded from the top 10 and their times should only be listed in their own separate class to not interfere with the Porsches.

X Cars
This is an exhibition only class. No award points or trophies are awarded in this class. This class is for factory race cars and exotics such as the 924GT, 924GTS, 911RSR, 934, 935, 550 Spyder, 959 and the Carrera GT. This is also a class for those who want to have fun running their car but do not want to interfere with other participants' effort to win series points or awards. This class may be used by non-Porsche cars and Porsche replicas. Safety equipment requirements are outlined in Section XIII Part W.

About my lap times;
I would like to offer excuse #6
I wanted to use excuse #3, but everyone would know I was lying because my car doesn't have a carburetor.
They still know I'm lying, but #6 is harder to prove.

Dave,
I think your best excuse would be: I borrowed used tires from Chuck! :roflmao:

Great smooth driving Chris, no wonder you finished 1st in BRI. I'm looking forward to seeing what you are going to add or remove from the BRI trophy.
