No Two Day Fall PDS this year (rats) - One Day PDS?

Good news = Chargers Football :beerchug:
Bad news = no two-day PDS :banghead:

I reviewed the Qualcomm Stadium available dates again to see if we could even get the West Lot on the Saturday and then the SE Lot on the Sunday.

No luck. The Chargers or Aztecs use the stadium every weekend .... except for 2. Those 2 available weekends we have Buttonwillow TT or the Fontana DE. Many instructors will be at these events which means not enough for the PDS.

I will be calling the stadium a bit later to reserve a West Lot Sat/Sun for late April/early May when I get some other PCASDR event dates identified.

Apparently the club has run a one-day PDS in the past that was successful. The club Board is waiting for Greg Phillips to return from Parade as he knows some of that one-day program and we will investigate this possibility. ........your thoughts?

I am back from Parade, thank God for cool weather. :beerchug:

We might want to look at the Fontana DE weekend as I believe the DE is on Friday and the instructors would be available for Saturday and/or Sunday.

We could also consider having a PDS with an evening lecture (Fri or Sat) and then a single day of exercises (Sat or Sun). The autocross day is nice but the real learning is the skidpad and exercises.

We could do the regular price and give them a free ax at a later date That would save the club 2-3 thousand dollars

I instructed at several OCR schools. They did skid-pad exercises in the morning and a quick AX in the afternoon. The AX course was shorter, but much bigger than our "Mini-AX" exercise. You could omit the mini-ax in the morning and run a 2/3 sized pm ax.

I think you could accomplish the same thing. I'm with Greg. A night-before chalk-talk and one day driving event school is a good idea.

Just pondering the possibilities. 8)

I checked with the stadium for an available date for even a one day PDS (performance driving school).
There are NONE. The one we were hoping for now has an RV sale taking the lot. :( :( :(

So, I will coordinate with Monique regarding our calendar of event we know of for next spring and reserve us a weekend in late April or early May for a PDS. Then when us car clubs meet in late December for selecting our stadium driving dates, we will have the PDS pre-reserved. We will be able to market this date well in advance. :) :) :)
