944 Roll Bars

Inquiring if anyone has, or knows someone that has a Autopower Roll Bar installed in their 944? Although the people at Autopower were very helpful, they could not confirm if the roll bar would fit with the stock drivers seat all the way back in my particular driving seat position. Thanks. 'A.B."

Hi AB,

I have the Autopower roll bar installed in Tuffy (my 924S). I have racing seats in it but I do have sliding mounts and yes the seat will go all the way back with room to spare. The installation is a bit of a jigsaw puzzle and really is a two person job. I took my rear seatback out to ease things and it really helped.

I have an older version of the autopower roll bar.
The driver's side has plenty of clearance. The passenger side is somewhat limited, yet still sufficient.

From What I have seen, Redline is the top bolt in. I have used, and am still a big autopower user with my full cage.
Bolt in's are made to work with shorter roofs from all the plastic and covers. If your car has been striped then you may consider also buying some aluminum block spacers for B pillars. But its' all good. Just more holes in floor. Use very large bottom washers and try to double nut or use lock washers with bolts in frame.
