PCA SDR

Does anyone have experience with this group? The web site isn't very informative.

1. Does it cost to register with them?
2. Does anyone have experience with how many run groups they have and how much time you actually get on the track (Willow Springs or Streets) on any given day?
3. Any info on the cost of a day at Willow or Streets by signing up with them?
4. Is it well organized and run?
5. Are the drivers reasonable?

Myself & at least two other SDR mambers ran there with this group yesterday. It was my first DE track event so I have limited depth from which to compare but I will try to answer each of your ?s
#1 No
#2 4 RUN GROUPS 5 sessions 20 min each (except last session wwas more like 15 min. )
#3 it was $98 for the day prices vary depending on when you sign up and there are discounts availble through the website.
#4 Well run, no problems
#5 Yes (my own perspective and that of the other PCASDR members with me.)
Hope that is helpful. I plan on going to one of there events again but after it cools. Yesterday was a balmy 110!

Hey Chris,

Thanks VERY MUCH for the info and being the guinea pig for the rest of us!!!! With your recommendation I will definitely try it out. Not knowing anything about them I was a little reluctant to be the first - this kind of caution is why I'm not first in my class

How many cars would you say were there? About how many in each run group?
Were any drinks (water) available on site?

I wondered that, too. I see that they have a maximum of 80 for each event. But, with 4 run groups, 20 cars in each session gets a little crowded.

avg 15 cars per run group. plenty of water in a cooler. well organized. red run group had more advanced rules about passing. green run group only allowed to pass on straights. mixed crowd, friendly. quick with the point-bys, gt3, s2000, nascar truck, 370 Z, miatas, old school prepped Rabbit, Nissan GT-R, 944 turbo, 2 prepped mustangs, WRX
we had fun. they are more easy going than POC and PCA ( us ). they were descrete but "on it" about rule pushing or unsafe behavior. I ran in 2 different run groups. each group observed safety rules well.
cheap track day, lots of seat time.
HOLY COW IT WAS HOT. 10jreen did not care but i sure did.
NT-01s got a tad greasy after 15 min of 147 deg pavement
I will run wiht them again. perhaps sept 24th at buttonwillow, then SOW Oct 4th w PCA GPX
