Coronado feedback

Postby neil30076 on Mon Sep 26, 2011 3:16 pm

As a member of PCA since 1980 - albeit on and off, I was concerned yesterday at the Coronado speed festival as I pulled into the PCA-SD region club lot in my Range Rover, with a pca-sd membership and corral pass and was told I could not park there as i wasn't driving a Porsche - rather than argue the issue I moved it to the off road 4x4 area and left and enjoyed rest of the day.
I would suggest that If the club does not want non Porsche in that area they should make it clear on the pre-event info; and I, and several others whom noted who were also turned away, will park accordingly.

Re: Coronado Corrals

Postby Greg Phillips on Mon Sep 26, 2011 3:48 pm

Sorry for the semantic confusion, but the whole idea that the organizers set up a special parking area for the Corrals is to have areas for the different enthusiast groups to show their cars.
It is not a special parking area for PCA members, it is a Porsche Corral.
You were more than welcome at the PCA Hospitality tent.

John's address to request the Passes made that clear.

Hopefully there was a Range Rover corral for you to park in, I know there was plenty of regular parking outside the Corrals.

Dido, to Greg's comment. This is what was expected for the special parking.

Same experiance I did park my Corvette in the Vette section Sunday.
They asked me if it would be ok to park an El Camino next to my Corvette and I said sure.
But a land rover no way.  :beerchug:

Not a problem, John. Please accept this a constructive comment, not a complaint.

LOL, lost for words!
When we bought the RR, my wife drove the Cayenne and could not say a good word about it, reminded her of a VW !!!!
And, talk about repressed - I went -
924
914
928
914
928
928
So how do you think I feel :)
