Buttonwillow DE & TT Registration Opens 9/30

Registration for the TT season finale, as well as a DE, at Buttonwillow Raceway Park November 12-13, opens tomorrow, Friday September 30 at 9:00 am. Buttonwillow is always popular, and since this is a premium fall weekend as well as the season finale where point totals will determine class winners for TT participants, this event is likely to sell out. I notice that there is a chance of rain developing. Because I really don't want to use my daily driver to learn the art of racing in the rain, I have two questions:

1. What are the TT rules / conventions for wet weather events?

2. What is the deadline for canceling w/o cost? If the weather is unsettled, I am considering going up Friday evening and making a final decision on Saturday morning...

Event runs rain or shine. Predicting weather is tricky and forecasts, even just a few hours out, often change. It’s unlikely that it rains from Saturday morning through Sunday afternoon non-stop, but of course anything is possible.

Normal cancellation rules apply: cancellations must be received prior to the start of an event.
