Thunderhill (Update with Video links)

Paul and I are running with the POC this weekend top remind them how PCA folks roll! It is a great track, fast but technically challenging. We are both driving Snickers and yesterday put 300 miles on him.

Paul pulled an iron man and ran the 70 minute Enduro solo, taking 3rd overall! During that he consistently ran laps 2+ seconds faster than the track record for his class. We have good hopes for his time trial run today.

I am doing well, though in a unfamiliar car and unwilling to run it at 10/10s I have lap times less than a second off the record. If you ever get a chance to run Thunderhill do it. It is a great track!

Mark (and Paul)

Yes, indeed we we're sweating. Snickers with over 500 miles of hard charging. I was sweating at the end of 70 minutes of racing. Mark was sweating not embarrassing me with his ever faster lap times. We missed our friends at BWRP, but Thunderhill was indeed a sweet (and sweat) weekend.

Congrats on the podium finish

Any video you could share? I drove TH for the 1st time this summer. It's a beautiful track. I get butterflies every time I go over the crest :)

We've got lots of good video, including a bit or racing excitement. Look for posting to our deadpetsracing website in a day or so. We will post here when videos are up. Thunderhill is a kick-rectum track!

Nice drive :beerchug: I didn't know turn 12 can be taken straight thru the curb. Guess it makes sense :-)

That was a close call with the wheel flying in direct sunlight!

Thanks for sharing.

During the drivers meeting they had a bit of discussion about it and opened that route...so we took it!

We discussed the route through turn 12 - we didn't have time to discuss the route between Mike's car and his loose wheel! :roflmao:
