Classify your car for 2012

Add your car(s) -- see where you stand alongside everybody else.

Warning: Consider this to be round two of the beta testing -- things may need to change and you may have to add your cars again at a later date.
But I think it is looking pretty good.


If you participated in the original Beta Test, you need to enter your car again, I wiped the database

Oh, yes, while I'm thinking of it, I will mention that there are some enhancements planned for the future, such as ability to search for a driver, filter by region, etc.

Tom, classifying for 2012 is a bit of a guess, right? I mean, the 2012 rules haven't been approved or posted on the Zone site. And, all the approved changes have been taken off the site. So?

This classification site uses the official 2012 rules

I just haven't updated the documents yet to reflect the final 2012 rules.
Been putting my time into this website so people don't have to figure things out on their own
Will get the new documents up within a week or so.

One nit to pick -- are Monoballs and non-stock camber adjustment either/or assesments? One, the other or both should tally to 20 points?

Tom, as I recall (proposed and approved changes seem to have been removed from the Zone website) the last change for weight reduction called for a recalculation of base points when the weight had been reduced by more than 2.5% of the stock weight. Your classification system is not recalculating base points and seems to be using the prior system where weight reduction was penalized .40 points for every pound of weight reduction from stock.

Can you check me on this?

It is recalculating and then taking the difference as mod points.

Paul Young : Looks like we are in the same class CC11. What kind of tires are you running with those odd sizes? Are these ply slicks sizes?

This is a great tool, but there are currently cars listed multiple times with different mod points. I guess it's not accurate information until everybody figured out in which class and mods they will be running in 2012 and list their car only once.

Does this mean that everybody with newer cars will need to convert to studs? Isn't that a bit overkill and expensive for AX and TT?

No, I think that it just means that we have to run an open nut onto the lug bolt - I guess that one might require longer lugs to comply...
