Registration for the first event of 2012 at Streets of Willow is now open at http://msreg.us/SOW0112. Please read the first two pages of information carefully as it's a new year and there are changes. Please also fill out the registration form on the third page with care, being sure to read the explanations below each item.

Early online registration prices have gone DOWN for 2012! Register early in order to take advantage of the lower pricing, and note that this event sold out last year. We believe we offer the best value (lowest dollar-density per hour) and highest quality events out there, so consider joining us for the whole season by also signing up for our Season Pass (details on the registration website).

In the information it states a $60 savings, what was the entry fee last year? I thought it was still $295.00, could be wrong , thats why I am asking. Maybe a little clarification where the saving are?
Much appreciated,
Thanks,

The site says, "To register online and save up to $60, we require that you join our group here on MotorsportReg.com." This is the savings relative to signing up manually using the form that will appear in the Witness. Nevertheless, our basic early registration prices have dropped by $25 per weekend from 2011 prices ($320 last year; $295 this year). You can save an additional $25 per weekend event by singing up for the Season Pass. And yet another $25 if you instruct.

Reminder, this Friday, December 23 is the last day for early registration for Streets (including this year's Season Pass gift). Prices go up $50 this weekend. Give yourself the gift of speed and savings, and sign up right now. http://msreg.us/SOW0112

Is there a new 2012 tech form posted anywhere? Between holiday closures and vacations, there isn't much time left to pre-tech before the 7th ...

See here:

It's a preliminary version -- not with fill-able fields, too much work to do that multiple times.

There is a new cancellation policy that people may or may not be aware of. On the first page of the online TT registration (at the bottom) it says:

"Cancellation Fee: The cancellation policy has changed and there are now potential fees associated with cancelling after various dates. Please see the full cancellation policy at the bottom of the next page."

On the bottom of the second page it goes on to say:

"PCA - San Diego is offering a separate cancellation policy directly: NO CHARGE to cancel up to 2 weeks prior to the event. 50% of 1 or 2 day fee (as appropriate) retained as a cancellation fee if cancelled within 2 weeks of the event. 100% of 1 or 2 day fee (as appropriate) retained as a cancellation fee if cancelled anytime after the Sunday prior to the event."

Incidentally, this information is not present on the printed DE/TT registration form in the Witness.

FYI.

Please be sure to re-classify your car with the new 2012 Zone 8 Points system.

Tom Brown has put in many hours to make this as simple as possible to follow. I signed up many new members at the Auto Show and one of the questions was how to classify your car. 2012 brought many changes and it can be very confusing for a new member and for some of us of old members too..

The NEW Tech form has a 'condensed' version of the point system on Page 2 that is very easy to follow, everything you need is all on one page.
see this link:
http://pcasdr.net/pcasdr/forms/AXRegForm.pdf

You will also need the base points, stock hp and curb weight from this list
see this link:
http://zone8.pca.org/CarClass/ViewModels.aspx

Robert just sent out the information packet for Streets which highlights many changes, please read it.
the link to the complete Zone 8 Rules is:
http://zone8.pca.org/rules/2012/2012Z8Rules.pdf

Another helpful link is on the forum under "Classify your Car for 2012"

http://zone8.pca.org/CarClass/Default.aspx

Tom Brown if I missed anything or made any errors here please correct or comment.
