I'm sure that all you drivers know Jack Miller and Robert Baizer as the leaders of our great time-trial series, but have you ever heard their band? I first heard the Blues Doctors play at Claire de Lune in North Park and knew that these guys could help us transform the tired old installation dinner in a great New Year's Eve Party. The minute we walked in the door, my wife started moving to the music and she could stop herself -- these guys play the kind of music that almost forces you to get up and move.

Jack plays a great lead guitar (can you believe he's brave enough to take on some of Santana's hits) and Robert plays percussion. They have a wonderful vocalist (sorry I don't remember her name) with a deep sensual voice perfectly suited for the blues. The mixture of blues and classic rock is sure to appeal to almost everyone.

I think that Jack and Robert bring the same sort of enthusiasm, attention to detail, and professionalism to their music performances that they bring to the time trial series. I invite all of you drivers to come out and enjoy a very different and upbeat evening with your fellow Porsche friends. Carl

Update on the schedule for the New Year's Eve Party.

Cocktail hour at the Auto show will begin at 7:30pm and go to 8:30pm

We will then proceed to a private room where Dinner will be served at 9pm.

Just to be clear, if anyone was wondering, the New Year's Eve Party is being held this year in lieu of the Installation Dinner.

Happy Holidays everyone. We are in the final planning stages of what looks like 2 great events -- the Porsche Exhibit at the Auto Show and the Club New Year's Eve Party following the show. You won't find a better New Year's Eve Party for anything close to this price! But, we need to give the caterers a final head count very soon, so please do not delay signing up. Thanks, Carl
