How about a drive with David Hobbs?

Postby John Straub on Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:14 pm

The Ferrari Owners Club has invited Porsche Club members to join in. Here's the info.

What: The San Diego Region of the Ferrari Owners Club is proud to announce that our members will have the opportunity to have a small dinner with, a light breakfast with, a 3 hour drive with, a lunch with, AND a Sunday brunch with none other than DAVID HOBBS! David is arriving on March 2, 2012, and we will be hosting an intimate dinner with David and no more than six people. The next day, March 3, 2012, will be meeting around 8:00 a.m. at Capri Blu II for a light kickoff breakfast and a chance to meet David. Following that kickoff event, there will be fun drive in the East County led by the club’s master Fun Drive Leader: Roy Silver. The drive will be approximately 3 hours. Following the drive we will arrive at Capri Blu (a different restaurant) for lunch and more time with David, but that’s not all! On Sunday, another small group of no more than 8 people will have Sunday Brunch with David at a location still to be determined.

AND: There will be a lottery for the four available seats for the Friday night dinner with David at a location still to be determined.

AND: There will also be a lottery for six lucky lottery winners to have the opportunity to have David in their cars for the Fun Run for 30 minutes (and even let him drive!!!).

AND: There will be yet another lottery for the six available seats for the Sunday Brunch.

Dates: March 2, 3, & 4, 2012

Places: Friday dinner to be determined. Saturday kickoff light breakfast at Capri Blu II (address to follow) followed with lunch at Capri Blu (address to follow). Sunday brunch location is also to be determined.

Times: Friday dinner at approximately 7:00 p.m. Saturday kickoff starts at 8:00 a.m. and the drive at approximately 9:00 a.m. Lunch will be at approximately 1:00 p.m. Sunday brunch will be at approximately 10 a.m.

Fees: The price for light kickoff breakfast, fun drive, and lunch is $75.00 per person. Craig is picking up the Friday dinner for those lottery winners and the club is paying for the Sunday brunch for those lottery winners.

Lottery: Lottery tickets for all three lotteries will be sold for $10 per ticket. There is no limit on how many you want to purchase, but the more you buy the better your chances! Friday dinner winners will be announced in advance and you get a free dinner! Lottery winners for driving with David will be done at the start of the drive (imagine the suspense!). Lottery winners for the Sunday brunch will also be announced in advance and, again, another free meal! These are three separate lotteries so enter all of them or only the ones you want.

RSVP: Contact Craig McLaughlin at craig.m@roadrunner.com or at (858) 756-8450 if you have any questions. This is strictly a first come, first served event that will undoubtedly be a seating limited event! We are limited to approximately the first 80 sign ups. To hold a reservation, please fax or scan and email your signup sheet AND then mail your check for the total fees (see below).

DEADLINE: We are holding all 80 seats for FOC members until next Tuesday, February 14, 2012. After that date, we are opening up the event to car dealer customers and other car clubs. There is a two person limit per sign up unless seats go unsold. In which case the unsold seats will be made available shortly before the event.
