Hi guys haven't been around much over the last couple of years.
Shipped my RS America to Europe in 2010 for 6 months and shipped
her again in 2011. I've been touring Europe for over a year on this
trip.

I've made several trips to the Nurburgring during both tours and finally
finished my 100th lap today. :D

The most laps I've done in 1 stint is 12 Laps, that's about 168 miles and over 1200
corners.

Here's a pic of me a couple of days ago.

Anyway, I'm not planning on coming back until later this year, I'm having too much fun.

I love driving around Europe in a RS America with California Plates.

See Ya, Don Traver

Hi Don,

Very cool, so that's where you have been all this time :D . When you get back, I will have to ask you questions about RORO and container shipping companies.

You must get a lot of attention with California plates and a RS America in Europe (there are maybe 2 including yours :-) )

Enjoy :burnout:

Wow, that's a lot of driving.

My daughter and her boyfriend were there today also and each drove 2 laps.

Maybe someday I will make it.

Good to hear from you here, Don! I've been following your travel reports on the Porsche 964 Yahoo group the whole time you've been gone and they have made for a very interesting and vicariously entertaining diary of your European adventure. Keep having fun!

TT

Hey Martin, forget about RORO unless you want to get ripped off, container is the only way to go. Single container (20')leaves right away, double container (40') waits until 2 cars are going to the same port. Call Branko at Rinkens in LA 888-886-6683, great guy. He'll take you completely through what you need to do and get everything set up for you.

Greg, would have been nice to meet them after we all came off the track. When I come off I'm usually
pretty worn out as the adrenaline wears off and I remember to breathe again. It's a very Intimidating
track, plus you're out there with motorcycles, faster and slower cars, idiots, and the occational Bus. Came
around a blind corner yesterday and there was a big bus in front of me, whoa.

Track closed today so just taking it easy at the hotel. I like to stay at the Hotel Ewerts with a great staff and
restaurant in Insul, its about 16-17kms from the track which is great because the engine and tires are warmed up by the time you get there so you can just drive right on and hit it instead of using a lap to warm everything up.

Nice to hear from you Tom, heading back to France from here. Then????

Later, Don
