Hey Mark- Maybe if you said you would instruct from the right seat or well inside of the envelope you would get some more takers. :D

Cant wait to see the odds on which session you will visit the inside of nine in the silver car.
And not if... just when.

Steve, you're right. I won't make anyone ride with me, I'll just instruct from the right seat....
Car is turn key ready. Just needs gas and a new owner.

As for the inside of nine, do you mean a perfect apex or just a little bit inside?

I mean:
That was an awesome last lap!
If I just carry a little more speed through 9 I can really make a run on the front straight...

Opps! (edited) That was a little too early...
LR wheel in the dirt before pit in... snap! Hello inside of nine and a new Witness cover shot!

That's what I mean.

Turn 9! You are sure giving him a lot of credit... I mean

1. Oh, so that's what happens when you try to get on the gas too early,
2. You mean you have to brake and modulate the throttle in 2,
3. Oh, so that's is why you straight line brake before the corner and then roll on the gas,
4. Oh, so that is what happens as the camber changes in a 911,
5. Hmm, the tail came around for now reason there,
6. Oh, so that is what happens when you crest while turning with a rear engine car and some HP
7. Still a non-corner, just like the 944
8. Wow, that is scarier when you go faster and bounce more

All seem very likely to happen BEFORE he has the problem on corner 9 :roflmao:

So...7 shouldn't be a problem. Sweet! Only have 8 corners to worry about. :roflmao:

I think this is what jad actually meant Mark.
6. Oh, so that is what happens when you crest while turning with a rear engine car and some HP (Back end comes around and/or jumps a car width to the left.)
7. Still a non-corner, just like the 944 (It was going to be a non-corner until you screwed up 6... now its a corner with a lot of drop off over there).

Anyone have the photo that shows turn 6,7,8,9 and says something like full throttle here and no brakes until 9, something like that?

OK- all joking and smack talk aside. This is an event that you just must make happen.
Big Willow is the oldest unchanged dedicated road course in the west.
When a bunch of racers get together nobody asks what your time is at the Pomona fairplex… they don’t even ask what your time at Streets of Willow is.
They want to know what your very best lap time was at the “Fastest Road in the West”.

This is one of those tracks you must run. Big Willow, Laguna Seca… etc.
Willow is close and easy, so start here.

Just 9 simple turns. Really!

80% is a walk in the park.
Super smooth and very safe.
Just follow some old timer around for a couple of sessions and she will feel like an old pair of nomex jeans.
90%: Gets pretty exciting. Keep peeling off those “E” ticket stubs and keep getting back in line.
97%: This takes years and will be the laps you never forget. But if you are nice you might get to right seat in an instructors car that is 5 seconds faster than you are or more. It will be the thrill and lesson of your life.
100%: Forget about it. Not going to happen. There are micro seconds everywhere.

OK- The facilities:
Track is nice, there are garages. There is a real sit down air conditioned snack bar. There is a tire store. There is a gift shop to get your cool whatever with the WSIR logo on it. (It is like a secret handshake kind of thing).

There are gas stations and fast food right down the road by the freeway.

The hotel is one of the best we stay at in the series. New, clean and way fancier than a bunch or dirty old racers deserve but we like it.
Great trailer parking too.

There are a lot of choices for really good food very close to the hotel. It’s an easy walk if you are so inclined. And a Harbor freight tools on the way for those last minute repairs.

An empty grid is no fun, so tell all your TT friends to come out and play.
This is a great track to play chase because you can see all around the track. Your buddy is 6 turns away? Pull into the pits and re-enter right behind him.

Wow, that's very cool, too, Mike. I may be stuck going to a wedding that weekend and may miss Willow Springs (again, something always seems to come up to Willow-block me). So, now you've given me another reason to make the Coronado event.

How much throttle going down the hill Steve? 100%?
This track left an impression like none other I have driven so far.
This time I SWEAR I will go over 100 entering 8 Really!

Steve I request another right seat experience and I won't say anything entering 8!
