DeutschFest 2012-Aug 26th-Well attended

Postby Aavitt on Tue Aug 14, 2012 10:22 pm

Attention ALL PCASDR Members:
This year's New Member Welcome and Volunteer Appreciation Party is only 12 days away! Registration closes in 7 days.
This is a very fun, casual attire, shorts and T-shirts type of social event. German Food, German Beer and this year we booked a Rock and Roll band, most of you know very well, The Blues Doctors , our own Time Trial Chairs, Jack Miller and Robert Baizer will provide the entertainment.

The event takes place at a very popular East County venue, the "German Club" in El Cajon. We have booked the outside patio and the large air-conditioned hall as well. The 10 day forecast is calling for a cooling trend in El Cajon so it should be a perfect evening to enjoy some Authentic German food, socialize with your Porsche friends, drink some beer and do a little dancing! So dont' forget to wear your dancing shoes.

This event Welcomes New Members, thanks our 2012 Board and Chairman for their hard work and is open TO ALL MEMBERS to attend!

This party could not take place without the generous support of Sponsors who are all PCASDR members as well:
Be sure to thank them for their contributions to this event.

Thanks Mark! I hope everyone had a great time. Looks like I got really lucky with the weather, as it turned significantly hotter today in El Cajon reaching 92 degrees! I was very pleased with the outdoor venue, the great band and the food, well, so, so on the food. But I didn't see much waiting at the bar line this year either. So a few good changes. 2 bartenders. I hope everyone was happy with their door prizes. Congratulations to the Big Winners of the 2- "$200 off tires" coupon from Gerry Guiterrez at Discount Tire on Genessee. Tami Ibbetson and Bill Ripka. Cathy Young won the custom race numbers from Santora Media Group and our newest member really lucked out, Greg Snyder won the collectible Porsche Pillow in the shape of a 911 from TFA, Inc. (Toys for Adults) that was donated by Paul Haas and Margie Smith-Haas. Thanks to everyone that attended. Hope you love your "Chair" gifts. See the rest of you Chairman, that were not able to attend, at the Autocross on Saturday. Katie Kinninger has the rest of the "Chair" gifts to deliver to you. Pun intended.

PS. Thank you to everyone that helped at the check in table. Katie Mallory, Tiffany Avitt, Katie Kinninger, Mary, and Katina Rondeau!
