Recovered from DE, now time to get back to keeping score and times at the time trials. :beerchug:

Sign up now for TT or for the PCA Club race.
Don't delay if you need to get or renew your PCA Club Racing License, but if you sign up for this Club Race you will not need to pay for renewing your license in 2013!!!

Greg

PS There is also a Friday DE/Test & Tune

Don't procrastinate and have to pay a late fee.
This is going to be a great event that you won't want to miss.

You must register by 11:59 pm PDT October 19 to receive the discounted online rate; after that a $25 late fee applies through October 29. Online registration closes at 11:59 pm PDT October 29, after which significantly higher on-site registration fees apply.

Is it too early to start the smack talk? :D

It's never too early to start that! I'll get it started.

Who has a 3.6L engine and wishes they could keep up with some 3.2L's? (hint: there may be more than one correct answer.)

Will the 944 guy (who didn't know he was in a 944) in the 911 stay clean at this event?

Will John Deere show his muddy head again this time?

There's only one way to know for sure. Sign up and experience all the fun and club racing in person.

Yes some 3.6L cars will need to find their way around a pair of 2.5L street Boxsters before they can begin to chase the 3.2s.

John Deere will certainly be looking for the next Future Farmer of America candidate. This was hotly contested last year with several excellent candidates. Competition was fierce with Steve G. demonstrating his superior cotton field plowing abilities on Sunday for the win.

Smack talk? Oh, Goodie!

Huh! Who you talkin' to, Willis!?! You should check the Fontana results of the 3.0L (yeah, right!) and 3.2L (yeah, double right!!) vs. the 3.6L results. Who, indeed, was keeping up with whom? Keep up? More like stay up (and awake) in the pits waiting for you to come in, rookie 911-boy.

Doubtful. I'm bettin' at least 1 off at Bus Stop or Esses before the weekend is over. A solid well set-up 944S is NOT a wiggly-squiggly 911 with light-weight and good torque. You got lucky at Big-Willow (and still got spanked by Mr. G.). You gonna get dirty at Buttonwillow, Young Pup. Got paper towels, "Dust Boy"?
(Disclaimer: I fully expect Mr.Rondeau to best me by a wee bit. But I gotta get my licks in now, so as he can embarrass me after the event. )

Good ol' "Sharecroppin" Steve" is expected by many to go further afield this year than last. Oh wait, it's not a tractor pull event?

Agreed. Even if it's another $25.00 .... come out and watch/play with us at the annual TT/Dust-Bustin' event.

The track just had some areas filled in, around track outs.(with very light dust..)
If you even get your wheels close to the edge at Bus Stop, or Sunrise; the wind creates clouds. Bring Plenty of towls for the car wipe downs and change of shorts for the driver.
Rain season is also about to start.. Should be a blast.

I love it when the big engine boys break out their times at Fontana. Half of the track is about horsepower. How about your own video of that little 944S flying by you in turn one and two?

I wouldn't say I got spanked by Steve, but he did have his fastest 911 lap ever at Big Willow in less than ideal conditions. I'm pretty happy with my 1:33.97 best lap of the weekend which wasn't too far off of his pace.
As for getting "dirty" at BW, we'll have to see. I'm hoping to stay clean, but you never know. I think it'll depend on how hard I push on those heat cycled "hand me down" tires you gave me. Lucky for me, I try to drive well within my limits. 8)

I'm looking forward to the post BW smack talk/excuses. I wonder who will be doing which one. :roflmao:

OK, as a representative of the 3.6L club, which track would you like me to break out and compare with your time....... still waiting...... :roflmao:

See you in BW!

Jad, I wasn't speaking of all of the 3.6L's, just the slow ones. Obviously that eliminates you and your 3.6L "not a cup car" cup car.
That being said, can we compare times from Chuckwalla last January?

Oh Mark, go easy on Jad now. I believe he was only in a 3.4L 996 that day so it is easy to see why he had trouble with a couple of maniacs driving the wheels off their POS 2.5s. He only had a 100hp advantage :)

Just to set the record straight, I was in a 2.7l, very fun, but far from optimized friends Boxster. I had about a 30hp advantage and 400 lb disadvantage. I believe my best time at Chuckwalla is a 1:57 in a 3.6l? How does that compare to your best time there Mark???
