For those that may not have known, the Arizona region had its club race this past weekend at PIR (Phoenix International Raceway). There were quite a few SDR members in attendace showing their support for our fellow Zone 8 region.

For those of you scratching your heads right about now, yes this is the same track where I aquired the scars on the right side of my Boxster last year. I am happy to say that I made it through the entire weekend without any sort of contact (although there were a couple G cars who tried hard to foil those plans) or further damage. :D :D :D

I would really like to congratulate Joe Hegener on a awesome drive. Coming from dead last after getting a DQ from Qualifying (for being 4# light  ) to win the Group 2 race. I lead that same race for a few laps after Bill Hartsock had an incident in T9. But my little 986S was no match for Joe's Turbo and he got me with ~3 laps to go. Good job Joe!! Nice driving.

I had a great time, was fairly competitive and came home without any further damage to my baby (that track is starting to grow on me). All-in-all, a great weekend.
