Anyone have any suggestions for hotels in the Ontario area for the Speed Festival weekend?

The event hotel is the Ontario Airport Marriott. $99 a night at this point. Fill out the form located on the last page of the document link below and fax it to Brenda Stedronsky ASAP.

Most people are staying at the Ontario Airport Marriott. Go to the Zone 8 Speed Fest site for more info.
If that's booked or you don't want to stay there, I've also stayed at the Country Suites (
http://www.countrysuites.com - select the Ontario Mills Mall location). Which in my opinion is nicer and closer to the track than the Marriott and where I'd be staying if I wasn't supporting the club by staying in the "host hotel".

Glenn, there are tons of hotels within a 10 to 15-minute drive of the Ontario airport; everything from Motel 6 to 5-star luxury. I stayed at a Courtyard/Marriott nearby (can't remember exactly where ...maybe Upland, or Ontario...) for $82.00 + taxes in 2003. It was closer to the track than the O. A. Marriott.
Check with the different hotel chain websites for locations in Ontario, Pomona, Riverside, Fontana, Corona, Norco, Upland. You're bound to find a good deal within minutes of the Cheery Street exit.
Happy hunting!

Camping was my original plan. But, since I didn't know anyone camping and didn't know the speedway had showers there available, so I got a room at the Marriot.
The 911 wouldn't have been the most comfortable to sleep in even without the passenger seat

But it would have been nice not to drive to the hotel and back in the morning on race tires.

Note that the Saturday night dinner, which is included in the registration fee for Time Trialers and Club Racers, is going to be at the Ontario Airport Marriott, if that influences anyones decision about where to stay. 6:30 pm drinks, 7:00 pm dinner. "Race track casual" (i.e., clean jeans and T-shirt or better).

You can always catch a ride back and forth with someone who towed (i.e. me

). But you'll still have to go down the street to the Chevron for fuel on your race tires...

"Clean jeans"?!?! Who the heck has clean jeans after a day at the track?
