Come on up to Fontana this weekend and check out all the hoopla! If you can't, you can still be there virtually at http://zone8.pcasdr.net.

I'm sure others have longer or different memories, but this CFoS was The Best SDR/Zone 8 event I have ever attended in my 6 years of membership at SDR. Really well done all around. The only glitch I noticed was the track not having enough food on hand for the huge crowd!

Thanks to everyone who made it possible and thanks to all of those who came out, competed, or otherwise spent a few $. This event has come a long way in a short time from 'this could be the last CFoS if we don't get attendance up'.

Really great that the PCA & POC came together on this.

Thanks again,

Chet

The final tallies are in! Congratulations to James Buck, two-time TTOD winner and excellent drives by all. The season standings are heating up with Chuck Sharp, Paul Young, and Mark Rondeau proving to be category killers once again in their respective classes. As usual The Boxster Brothers are slugging it out in CC06 with only a few points (and a few 1/10s) between them at every event. Stay tuned for Spring Mountain in May.

Thanks to the organizers and hundreds of volunteers who made this CFOS a really exciting and smoothly run event. Best CFOS ever!

And congrats to team double-trouble Hockets for breaking the elusive 2:00 mark. Everyone pushed their limits with great results.

Great event, great weather, great friends encouraging one another. Maybe next year some of use can actually qualify for garage space ;-).

Looking forward to WSIR. :-)

Great event and lots of fun and a little drama. Thanks to Steve Grosekemper  for fixing my broken engine (broke two rocker arms due to a missed shift), Behr Salehi for one rocker arm and Road & Race for the other one.

Kudos to all of the volunteers for their hard work and dedication in putting on this great event. I enjoyed running with POC as well as my PCA friends and it was great to see all the cars and rigs at this event.

And...a couple of BRI slots up from Chuck, sits a little black car named Tuffy. I am just as pleased as can be with the weekend. Huge props to Ryan at RSR for setting him up and for everyone else letting me run with the big dogs.

Dan,
Yes both of the Boxster Brothers experienced the joy of 1:59s in our Sunday morning session. Too bad we couldn't hang on to them for the win in Timed runs. Maybe next year. I noticed you shaved some serious time this year my friend. Hung your jewels out the window in turns 1 & 2 you did. Bravo! :beerchug:

Mark Bray,
You clearly drove well for a top time in class and high BRI. To take that to "category killer" status you just need to drive well and drive all the TT events. I realize you day job happens mostly on weekends but if we think outside the box for a minute, perhaps you could make PCA TT weekends an outreach program for the spiritually under-served. It sounds like a win-win to me.

Thanks to all who worked their proverbial tails off to make this CFOS a success!
I think I have attended CFOS since around 2003 (?) as either an attendee, worker or participant. Many have been great, but this one - as a complete "FESTIVAL" was easily one of the best.
The racing and Time Trialing are always good, but this one had everything. As a racer, I had to make an effort to get out and see the "other" stuff. There was more of it and LOTS of attendees enjoying it this year.

I particularly liked having both POC and PCA members running together and having some great competition.

While our car had its share of "issues" this year with bearings and brakes, we still had a great time and want to thank everyone.

Our condolences to those who suffered much more severe car issues. We hope that they can be repaired or fixed or replaced so we can all go out and play together again soon.

Special thanks to everyone who helped us keep the car running including: Ryan Calvert, John Chambers, Dave Diamond, Steve Grosekemper, Jerry Hoffman, Mark Kinninger, Tim Meyer, Steve Parker, Behr Salehi and multiple good samaritans who helped along the way.

:beerchug:

Mark B - Great Driving! Maybe you should take Tuffy to the next level and come play with us in Spec! (Love the picture!)
